So VT's Portal losses vs gains
Is Elohim an upgrade vs Shutt? or downgrade? Wash?
Is Atok upgrade vs Gurdak? Maybe unfair Atok really replacement for Lawal.
Heide upgrade = or downgrade vs Dorn
Heide = to Gurdak?
Seems like these 3 guys reasonable replacements for best we lost in Portal settings Avdalas aside.
However, Seems like next guy is bench practice depth G only.
They still need to fill out roster. Is there any money left in NIL to get someone or two who might be in rotation?
At present starters are likely:
Hansberry
Atok/Heide
Johnson
Elohim
Hammond
Who is your back up PG? Seems like we have 6 guys who are good enough to play 18-40 minutes and 3 young bench guys.
What are our biggest needs? Based on NIL budget left can we expect to get 1? 2? or zero potential starter transfers?

I think he will be a quality guy in the rotation. He got some quality minutes when Lawal and Johnson were out but then got shut down for the year with an injury. He seems capable to fill in at both the 3 and 4 and could even be a spot starter if he shows a year 1 to 2 improvement that Hammond and Johnson showed.

Yeah, he was stout, had a very aggressive post, block, and jumping ability when he was in. He didn't provide much scoring, but he has a great form and height/build. If he could increase his FG% (and quality shots taken), he could be a real asset. Highlights from his HS years looked amazing--I'm hoping he just needed last year to adjust to NCAA tempo.
On the other hand, Davis is a real mystery. It is my understanding that he was really good in HS, but had an injury that kept him off the court his entire senior year. He's got the height and bounce, it seems. If his game is solid and if he bulks up, he could become an essential player for when we play competitive and big teams.
We shall see...

for a back-up PG, whether from the portal or HS, definitely a 4, and another 5. Are they out there? yep.
Your question on cash left is obviously the key. Will he find them? I doubt he has the cash for any more 4* transfer players, but who really knows?

center.
Need another primary ball handler, and 2 more wings. Just bodies that can play hard or shoot. Both would be nice.

Everyone keeps talking about Atak Kuol like he's a big. He's 6'9", but lean and seems to play like a 3-spot.
He could be what we really wanted instead of Avdalas (who was 6'9", but wanted to be a 1-spot); we didn't need another 1-spot and his shooting was inconsistent.
Also, Kuol is a much better shooter than Schutt (who was 4" shorter) from field: +8.1% FG%; +2.8% 3P%. Although, his FT% is -8.4%.

...then why do you have a blank for our starting center?
Or was that a TIC post?

back-up would be nice. A Wing could be a tall 2, a 2-3 or a 3 and yes, I hope CMY can land at least one more.
You are correct, the top priority now should be a back-up point or a proven combo guard.
I believe The Rev even stated a HS point guard isn't out of the question. Experience on the job training
