12th ACC preseason. Any achievement beyond getting to the NIT is some serious gravy IMO. That said, my comment, given the decent talent we have with a lot of ball yet to be played, was a TIC reaction to two consecutive conference losses to teams we should, and should have, beaten. Can this team dig out of this early hole and pull off a top 5 or 6 ACC finish? Of course. But do not equate a run in the NIT as giving up, especially with our lack of any notable post season history in recent years.

pretty much the opposite of a fact. It’s an emotional knee jerk response to a frustrating and disappointing loss. Now you can argue that is an understandable reaction but that doesn’t make it a fact.

Speculation or fact? - beating peer level ACC teams early in the season gets VT in the post season drivers seat with down the road "good" losses factored in. Losing to these teams is a sure fire bubble buster.

Many have about 5-7 posts a year and they all seem to be after losses. Probably either opposing fans or people that never played a sport.
