I am confused by the Jones injury
I fully understand the concept of surgery and rehab. However, my understanding is that he has been seen limping. That doesn’t make sense. If he had surgery it should have been back in the Fall. By now he should have full mobility and be working on building strength. Any insights? ** Edited by VT ChemE 1986 at 2/13/2025, 11:49:14 AM

His VT 5th metatarsal moved to his knee.

Same thing happened to me when I owed money to Skinny Joe Merlino.

Now that makes complete sense

Ligaments? Cartilage? Completely different rehabs.
We don’t know what we don’t know. HIPAA laws prevent schools from disclosing health info. If Jones wanted to tell everyone, he could.

I'm still concerned about Kerry Blackshear's limp.

Do you know what kind of surgery he had?
If not, how can you speculate on recovery time?

It isn’t the time, it’s the process that seems off
For most any knee surgery he should be able to function normally within a few months. Obviously building up strength for athletic activity takes much longer. That makes me think that the it was a different kind of surgery or that he delayed the procedure until recently. It would be nice to have some information.

Anything could have happened
Could have reinjured the same knee (e.g., ACL, PCL, MCL, meniscus, etc.) Could have injured his other knee or another part of the same leg due to overcompensating from the initial injury. We won't know. It's up to him, his family and his doctors if they want to share any details because as hokiepro says.... ya know... HIPAA
