As the only 2 options I'd take the NIT title but anything less would be 2As

you can argue if anyone cares about the NIT title these days (probably not hard to argue that's also a no) but I think everyone would agree there's no notoriety to be gained from losing the NIT title or less. The only real advantage is more practice time, especially if you have a younger squad. At least with the NCAA first round exit you can create a streak and be in the discussion when it comes to having repeatable success.
