If we can assume the players who enter the portal early had a destination in mind already
And while Im sure that happens, most of the time it happens with a "do not contact" designation...now, of course there aren't any formal entries so that very well **could** be the case, it just doesnt happen so often to make it likely.
The ones who have entered are actually more likely to be doing so strategically.
For Avdalas, it allows him to negotiate his position in the draft using NIL dollars from potential NCAA suitors rather than just VT
For Pasha and Schutt, it is advantageous to have their name out there to try and lock up a spot early so they are less likely to fall below their desired level.
For Gurdak, it helps him with less production being an early name before bigger post players get on the portal list. He will have his choice of suitors, but he can negotiate better money by being one of the first and not asking for leftovers. It isnt a guarantee, but it certainly gives him the best chance.
I highly doubt any of the 4 already have a destination in mind.
