This may be an unpopular post...

but you have to tip your cap to Stanford in the last 2 minutes and give them a lot of credit. It is incredibly upsetting to blow a lead on a very important win for postseason credentials, but it's not like VT was completely reckless. Instead, Stanford made some incredibly timely shots and executed a nearly perfect sequence on every possession (offense and defense). Yes, VT should have managed the clock a bit better (biggest mistake in their control), made just a single shot, hit all the free throws, grabbed a timely rebound, and not fouled a shooter for a 3 point play... but none of those were really egregiously bad in their own. Hopefully VT can learn from this. They've built a solid-enough resume so far that this loss itself isn't a season killer, but it gives a lot less margin for future mess ups.
