Unless there’s more to the story, I can’t imagine wasting what’s essentially 2 full years is good for a future as a pro basketball player. Haven’t followed what’s going on but Rice was set it play pretty big minutes this year. Will be interesting to see how we fill the role but at the very least we at least have bodies this season unlike last. Will likely see much larger lineups with Long and Nickel at the 3, MY likes to play 2 tradition bigs so lots of opportunity for Kidd, Wessler, and Poteat to step up.
