For VT, it means we’re instantly down to a 12-man scholarship roster on the brink of the season. Someone is now going to have to play a whole lot more minutes than we’d planned. And for Rice, just a complete head scratcher. I fail to see how this does anything but seriously damage his pro career prospects. He sits out most of last season injured and now transfers and is immediately ineligible to play until the 24-25 season. Makes no sense whatsoever.
