forget that shot and what it meant to me as a lifelong fan of VT hoops and ACC basketball. It ranks as one of the top three moments for me. 1. Just because of the magnitude of the shot and that it was a game winner the Henson heave is my number 1. 2A. Bobby Stevens. Don Criqui saying “He’ll throw something up at the buzzer…” 2B. Darius’ shot. It win a game…led to a banner In The Cassell…and got us in the dance I’m sure others have their moments too. I also remember the New River district tournaments at Cassell…and Pulaski having a kid named Dennis Shrewssssssberry. He played sparingly at VT if I remember correctly.
