This may sound critical, but I am more just pointing out that I think we are going to be a good bit better by season's end. We luckily got UNC without Bacot which the computers will never know. I think we still are not clicking like we did at the end of last year and hopefully will be by seasons end. Not sure I want Basile spending so much time away from the basket. Maddux needs to get more aggressive and we need to get to the foul line far more often than we are doing. That said the Offense is clearly ahead of the defense which has at times has looked like swiss cheese. Mutts was terrific against the Heels. I think in the end his efforts probably kept the collapse form being a loss. Pedula has really impressed me with his development, needs to make better decisions at times, but he is only early in his sophomore year. Cattoor has picked off where he left off last year. I am less concerned with Maddux's shooting touch, but he seems tentative to me. I think Basile needs to be more of an inside player than a 3-Point shooter. Our bench, especially when RIce gets in there will be better than last year's. Kidd > Nguessan, Poteat = Pemsl, Collins < Maddux (for now - great game yesterday!!). I think Coach Young knows what he is doing and I think we have the potential to be a top 4 seed in ACC Tournament and another NCAA bid. I think the way we are playing now is likely to have us as a bubble team, any improvement will put us in the "I really don't want to have to play them" category. Go Hokies!!!
