doesnt realize (by a large factor) that the NBA is the most selective pro sports league in the world when considering actual spots vs worldwide candidates. Also that MLB and NFL are just entirely different models. MLB is just a huge numbers game- get as many bodies (affordably) under contract through the draft or via Central American/Cuba/Haiti initiatives and see was ultimately, over years, rises. NFL is much more detailed and heavily researched for 7 rounds deep. In the NBA you effectively spend all your efforts on who you are going to draft in the first round (and free agency). Sure who you sign to the G League can manner in team depth should you get hit with injuries, but it is still a relatively minor factor in building a top NBA franchise.
