I wouldn't call Maddox proven just yet even if he has a ton of potential

We know 2 things about maddox, 1) he's an excellent shooter and 2) he can clutch up in a big way. Beyond that there are a ton of question marks around defense, rebounding, facilitating, etc. Last year all he did was catch and shoot or take two dribbles and pull-up, he didn't exactly make the offense flow. Just like Alleyne, when his shot isn't falling he's basically invisible on the court because he doesn't make plays for other guys and he's not particularly disruptive defensively. We really need a guy like Rice to come in who makes the people around him better even when he's not scoring.
