I'd rather be in the SunBelt

where both football and basketball aren't constantly the poorest in our conference and struggling to finish 500. The ACC was the standard in hoops, and I'm glad we moved here. It was a dream. But that time has passed. Schools like FSU, that have much fatter wallets and crazy athletes, can't even consistently make the tourney. To think we can is just crazy talk. Give that reality, and this era of big dollars, we need to drop down to an appropriate level and have a shot at the NCAA tourney. At least that's what I hope happens when the ACC fractures. Maybe it survives and we have a better shot in a watered-down version?
