To play devils advocate...

If VT had gotten the level of production they paid for in Avadalas OR had they been healthy, they probably have exactly the year they wanted this year even with the deficits you speak of So do you take the money you have left and pool it in hopes for more consistent production from your top earner? Or do you try and spread it around to improve depth? Because VT absolutely won't have the funds to do both. All that to say no matter what VT does with the roster theres going to be a weakness. But at the same time, they were very close this year with the roster they had already, so do you even need drastic changes?
