To a point yes, unless context is provided…

The Coleman Collins during his freshman and sophomore years was pretty darn good. In fact, I remember during his sophomore year Duke came into Cassell with Shelden Williams, who at the time was being predicted as a top 5 NBA draft choice. Coleman soundly kicked his butt in that game. His junior and senior years were tough, especially his senior year after his father passed. If you recall Coleman’s dad became sick early during his junior season. Coleman missed tons of practices and classes traveling back and forth to Atlanta to visit his ailing dad, who passed away eventually. It was a significant ordeal for Coleman and during those junior and senior years he just wasn’t the same player or person. They were very close. I have often wondered what his last two seasons would have looked like if not for his unfortunate circumstances with his ailing father, all the missed practices and stress he faced. I am certain those two years would have been significantly different. At the end of his sophomore year I legitimately felt he had an excellent chance at being an NBA draft choice if he continued his development arc of the first two seasons. Unfortunately that did not occur due his father’s circumstances. ** Edited by Rev.Zeke Vodka at 11/6/2025, 1:31:51 PM
