Duke has better, they just provided 4 mil to one player which is more than CMY or CMD have in total. UVA is moving ahead of us in the area we must have great improvement in, donors just stepping up with more. Now those are becoming more the definition of elite fan bases. Instead you guys conflate going to games and being intense fans with having way more value than it does today. Very few are taking lappreciablyt less $$$$ to play for our fan base, in any sport. Our "at the top managers" manages who we really are much better than you are suggesting. The reason, not excuses is that to be what you want, we have to spend millions more. Do we even have that? Are you suggesting we divert donors from our school side to athletic side? It does not appear that our "at the top" has made the determination to pour more University and University potential $$$ into sports and football. And a real argument can be had if we should even try to do more than we are right now. So, yeah a recent ranking had us as the 53rd program in value. If that is across all sports, then CMY, in a real down cycle, is still producing results about equal to who we are.
