Since joining the ACC, I don't believe VT has had too many home men's

basketball games that fall on a date at the beginning or end of Spring Break. So I am not sure how many opportunities VT students have had to attend a game before starting their break or ending it a day early. Particularly if VT isn't willing to keep the dorms open an extra day or open the dorms up 1 day early. When the home games are scheduled in the middle of Spring Break and the dorms are closed, then it makes sense that students won't attend the games even if they are just going home for Spring Break.
