You're certainly free to disagree, of course.

But I think you're not really disagreeing with the assessment of the conference -- only the conclusion. I fully agree the ACC was NEVER going to succeed against the SEC and B1G. As I mentioned, the combination of private schools and apathetic fanbases just meant not enough support. I just don't think it is ESPN's fault. I think consolidation is natural. I think survival of the fittest is natural in the business world. You seem to want to draw this big line between what happened to the BE and what is likely to happen to the ACC. There is no line. They are both destined for destruction (or at least irrelevance) because that's the way the world works. But the people who try desperately to claim it's all ESPN's fault and how horrible and biased it all is seem unwilling to just admit that the SEC and B1G are set up for success in ways that make them attractive to the broadcast providers. Just like the ACC was more attractive to VT than the BE, the SEC is more attractive to ESPN than the ACC. Why are we okay with one but not the other?
