At PG Rechsteiner and Pedulla cannot play off the ball. There was no physical or mental weakness keeping Rodney Rice from being PG. It's simply a matter of you can either have Rice AND Pedulla/Rechsteiner on the floor together or you can have Rice without the other 2. Playing Rice off the ball allowed VT to put more talent on the floor. It was due to a lack of defensive versatility on Pedulla/Rechsteiner's part that they couldn't do so with Rice at PG
