I tend to agree, the schedule also sets up really well for us

Last year’s roster construction was really questionable after we spent big on Pasha than also added Avdalas. We didn’t have a solid rotation and were far too dependent on guys playing high level college ball for the first time along with satisfying promises to Neo. This year we brought in 5 guys with high major experience, all of whom either started (Heide, Elohim, Curry) or played rotational minutes. Then you have Copeland who is here to do one thing, come off screens and shoot. We’ve got less height but a lot more athleticism across the board and now have two excellent defensive PGs. Roles and lineups will be very well defined, the guys we brought in know what we want them to do and aren’t auditioning for the NBA

Yeah, right now they look like a borderline top 30ish team this year.**

They are ranked No. 25 in ESPN Way-to-Early Top 25 Poll FWIW.**

They wouldn’t be if their name wasn’t UNC

Hard for me to imagine how these predictions are made for VT.

I recommend you try imagining a healthy team that doesn't lack a starter

Of course with a 76 team tournament, I think 9-9 ACC is going to be pretty
SteveInBaltimore 06/03/26 03:23 PM ET
8-10 B1X and SEC teams are a lock. A 9-9 ACC team is on the cusp.**

All depends on conference strength in non-conf games
SteveInBaltimore 06/04/26 10:29 AM ET
ESPN and Fox will ensure their preferred conferences are well represented
EDGEMAN 06/04/26 10:39 AM ET
It’s based on Nov/dec results as someone said above.
