How can nobody do that? Our guy steps to the line, is he thinking about

what he had for lunch or is he mobilizing his sensory apparatus to make the ball go through the hoop? Would he make the shot if he stood on one leg? No, because he never practices that way. Would he make the shot if he hopped up and down? Of course not, because he never practiced it that way. At some point for whatever length of time, in the gym between games, before, during or after practice, he's going to stand at the foul line and take a shot. He may well not even call it practicing, but if he doesn't make that shot at that moment, I betcha he tries another one right away. ** Edited by PhotoHokieNC at 1/17/2026, 4:49:12 PM
