I see your point but, at the end its revenue

It doesnt matter if you win, but rather bringing $$$$ to to that athletic dept. and simply basketball (no matter if it wins 30 games or not) generates only limited $$$, The arena sits only 10k, generally. While look at all the funds that football generates...ALSO football has national championship branding, the rest well..
