What I'm saying is that VT can't be good at everything. VT is pushing a ton of NIL into football because they want to be good during the next round of realignment. And the women's team went to the Final 4, and Kitley is the best player in school history. If you want to push it into those programs, that's fine. But remember that Mike Young will be limited in what he can do. Tech does not have unlimited NIL funds, so they have to prioritize. My understanding is that at least one of Tech's transfers was a "free" transfer, and that's probably not a good thing in this era of basketball. If you don't have to pay at least something for a transfer, then he's probably not quite what you need. I bet if Rodney Rice was getting $100k he would have found it pretty hard to quit the team and forfeit that money. And we'd probably be 2-3 games better. Same thing is happening to baseball. They lost one of their best players for $75k. There's just not enough money to go around for all the sports, so VT has to prioritize. The good news is that their priorities will mean they will be good at football again, provided they are well-coached.
