So, the Maryland fan base is pretty knowledgeable and brutal

They are pretty aware of his normal M.O. and are much less likely to fall for any of his normal Buzzworld BS. Essentially he gets a pass this year. He has a sheetton of NIL to fix it. Obviously they will look much better next year, so that will be a semi pass. If by third year they arent top 20 and amongst the top 4 or 5 in the B1G the fan base will lose their collective minds. He will exactly zero friends. Rightly or wrongly the expectations are MUCH higher in college park then Blacksburg or even College Station (where all attention is on football anyway). If I had to bet UMD is the hill Buzz dies on, and he will never have another shot at a winning Power program. Check back in about 2 years. Lol.
