What's hilarious is using "went to a bowl game" as your standard.

Last year there were 134 teams in FBS. 12 made the playoff, leaving 122. There were 36 non-playoff bowl games, meaning 72 teams out of 122 (59%) of the non-playoff teams "went to a bowl game". If limping through a .500 season and avoiding being one of only 40% of eligible FBS teams NOT to make a bowl is all it takes to keep Babcock off the hot seat, then VT might as well petition to join CUSA or the Sun Belt, and give up any aspirations of seriously competing in football.
