They can have all the skills that match up with what you want, but they need to be able to put the pieces together. For Rechsteiner, he simply does not know when passes need to be made. He is continually a half beat too slow making the read, and then instead of holding his dribble and resetting, he picks it up, then throws the first pass he can, which is usually deflected or stolen. He could get away with that playing HS competition. He simply had to dribble and shoot in HS. He's a willing defender, so that gave you some hope but he still gets lost there too sometimes. You could get over that part and hope for some growth if not for a glaring weakness on the other side of the floor. VT as a whole needs to get better passing the ball.
