Yes the loss of our planned starting PG is main reason for our struggles

This season to date. In my opinion team should spend 50% ofpractice time working on getting the ball past 1/2 court and into offense quickly without Much dribbling via quick passes. T.O. and lost time to run offense against shot clock are biggest single reason we are losing games. We played a ranked Pitt team even and even had a good lead late. However. All Pitt had to do was press last five minutes of the game and we were toast! VT has to make teams pay for pressing and until we can via pass, team is in trouble Hammond and Rech can't beat press alone. They need help and we need a gameplan for it.

Problem is we are taking 10 seconds+ to get across half court and Turnovers

Good points. This team clearly needs to handle the press better.

I do not want them to necessarily speed up getting to the basket, but

Yes and when you can't beat a press it means your guards are too small and
