Rice was a great fit for this team. He would have started and played 30 mpg

It was never about him beating out Pedulla for point. He only starts at PG if another Wing is a better option than Pedulla to go with he and Cattoor - that was unlikley to happen. While I agree that minutes at PG were likely an issue, PG and Wing are less different in MY's system than others and PG skills can be showcased from either Wing. Everybody involved knew this - seems odd it would cause an irreconcilable problem.
