a couple of things

1st NIL vehicle is Triumph, they have oversight by Whit or Virginia Tech 2nd contributors give to what they want to give (they give to football) 3rd. Coach Pry and staff has spent alot of time soliciting contributors to get NIL contributions. guess what they are pretty good. 4th NIL is not a kitty that VT allocates but based on demand. I dont know if Mike Young has been doing the sales pitch to contributors for NIL investment. Our women basketball coaches have been busy campaigning for contributors to give to NIL. The overarching framework is Triumph. They allocate based on what the contributors desire and what the market demands. Separately, the university can have separate fund to pay players (that is pay not names image and likeness) and with the court proceedings its going to be a 20 million dollar hit a year for all scholarship players. Then they can have their own NIL (for programs that can't do the separate soliciting. and we ask why cant coaches spend time to coaches between NIL soliciting, recruiting, transfers and then well they have to coach a team.

This is another problem with NIL: the complete lack of transparency.
