Just got this in the mail.

" NEW: 2024-25 Ticket Membership We can't wait to have you jumping in Cassell for the 2024-25 men's basketball season! We wanted to remind you that we've transitioned our standard full-season tickets to a ticket membership program, which guarantees you access to all conference games, plus the opportunity to purchase your same seats for non-conference games during a separate claim window. Keep Cassell Rocking - the Why Behind this Decision None of us want empty seats in Cassell Coliseum. Over the last few years, we have noticed that, on average, approximately 30% of our season ticket holders are attending all non-conference games, while over 90% of single game ticket buyers are attending those same games. Consequently, the best seats in the arena are typically 70% empty and we're working to change that. To create the best possible atmosphere in Cassell, we want to ensure tickets go to those who are eager to attend. Your presence and enthusiasm make a huge difference, and we appreciate your support in helping us keep the energy high at every game! STAY TUNED, more information regarding process and non-conference ticket claim windows is coming later this summer after the non-conference schedule is released! For now, rest assured that you will be able to claim your tickets in the fall and specific details surrounding that process (exact timing, pricing) will be shared in the summer. It's impossible to nail down those specifics until we have the non-conference schedule and that is still being worked on. We will share it as quickly as we can after the non-conference schedule is released (typically mid-summer based on history). Thank you for your support of Virginia Tech men's basketball and of this new initiative. We cannot wait to see you see you in the fall!" No new info, just that the "f&$king" is coming.

It’s frustrating BUT It’s counterproductive to think we’re getting f’d over
hokiepro 06/07/24 06:29 AM ET
For locals like you and me pro, the onus should not be on us to purchase

Ahh yes. Agreed on that point

VT ChemE 1986 06/07/24 09:44 AM ET
These tickets better be offered at far below face value or I won't buy any.
tchokie 06/05/24 01:52 PM ET
Not trying to be rude but you not buying any additional OOC game tickets
hokiehill1117 06/06/24 03:52 PM ET
I'm not trying to "stick it" to VT. I'm voicing my opinion as a 15 year

OCC tickets

You miss my point. I paid the same price for my season tickets this year as
tchokie 06/05/24 07:19 PM ET
Pretty stupid plan, this will lose them money and fans.**
Rahvatech 06/05/24 09:06 PM ET
It’s just a hidden price increase for those who want to attend

I think overall increase in Hokie Club membership is
Rahvatech 06/05/24 09:11 PM ET
Increasing numbers of recent grads in the HC is smart

I agree about the increase in HC member numbers.

saret 06/05/24 09:32 PM ET
Agree, but apparently a lot of other schools do the same.
RJHokie 06/05/24 09:47 PM ET
Totally agree. They all just consider it marketing.
saret 06/06/24 08:32 AM ET
Actually I did pay attention and know exactly what's going on. Of course
tchokie 06/05/24 07:53 PM ET
This year is the experimental year to see what happens.
RJHokie 06/05/24 07:57 PM ET
You know what would've been better?
hoosnowahokie 06/05/24 09:06 PM ET
I believe that was considered, and agree it’s a good idea.

saret 06/05/24 02:32 PM ET
Couldn't agree more. I'm local and attend most but certainly not all home
tchokie 06/05/24 03:30 PM ET
If they can find a way for anyone to come to the games with the tickets
hokiehill1117 06/06/24 03:56 PM ET
Obviously I live locally, also. It is very seldom I miss any game.
saret 06/05/24 06:15 PM ET
I only missed one home MBB game last year and that was because
