So, a couple of points...

1) I don't call that gaming the system. I call it intelligent scheduling based on what is understood about the NET formula. 2) With an 18-game conference schedule, the Big 12 can play a couple of more crap teams than some other leagues like the ACC. That helps the efficiency ratings.
