Baseball is even weirder than football in the NIL era...

reliever. The only ERA antidote for a bad outing or two is a lot of good outings. Crowl had a subpar start this past season but he has been very effective over the course of his career, imo. Looking at Carolinaβs pitching year to year I would say that they feel good about him, too. They donβt appear to be in the market for projects.

So maybe they fix him? But that is project status to me...

I still think he will pitch pretty well for UNC in a lesser role than he had at Tech. Heβll make more money with less stress.

and in 2025 it was 5.23 ...
Praying the new PC and pitching analytics guy from Tenn can change our path - this is awful pitching!

With one or two exceptions, this head coach has not built competent pitching staffs. Have to recruit 4-6 good freshman arms every year and develop them. Look for pitchers, not throwers. Taking 8-10 pitchers in the portal every year is a recipe for disaster, imho. Should be 2-3 portal additions to augment losses.

2-2 with 5 saves in 24 appearances. Maybe they help him, maybe not but, solely based on stats it would seem to be considered a marginal loss, at best, for VT.

yet he should have had 8-10 saves I think and just unreliable in the long wrong...
maybe the change of scenery will help him...

When they left him in after a good inning it seemed to just suddenly go sideways quickly
