solid outing he's had today, keeping this high-powered Miami offense in check for 6 innings now.

Going with Yagesh on Fridays is not optimal. He’s been solid this year but he isn’t going to often outduel another team’s Friday starter and starting a series in an 0-1 hole is a recipe for continued issues. Get one of Renfrow and Stieg into the Friday slot to give a chance at a Friday win rather than what we are doing now.

We don't hit nearly enough to win much on Friday night regardless of who pitches. By throwing our clear top 2 on sat/sun we matchup to more likely win a game. I think Szefc knew pretty quickly if not before the season, that this team lacked the pop to score against good pitching.
