Though it’s true.
If Sands, et al, cared about the athletic department in general, Whit would have been gone long ago.
I think Sands is just peachy with the current state of affairs.
What has been allowed to happen to the football program is deplorable.

of “yes” people. And it also appears that some very relevant info isn’t being provided to him by staff either. A good example of this is that he wasn’t made aware of the total monetary effect/amount of Chip’s fundraising efforts (since the “four year old socks” issue was made known to Chip of which he paid for the new socks himself) until Chip told him the total in a private conversation.

IF those staffers are not keeping him up to date that is poor on their part and they should be called out to explain. I say IF because there is the chance denying he knew was the quickest way out of the situation and there may be more to the story. Additionally, ignorance, at least IMO, is not necessarily a valid defense for the guy charged to run the show and whether it is poor hiring/retention or poor management, it is still poor. Just observing, the questions are continuing to stack up all around the department, again IMO.

management jealousy, back stabbing, etc. I’m fairly certain some of those issues exist in the VT athletic department. You just hope those issues don’t derail the whole train.

My first call would be to Dillon Napoleon from WKU. Their staff has the best era in the country by a very wide margin at a 3.04 and the 9th best Strikeout to walk Ratio at 3.01
If he wouldn't Kevin Cobb from Northeastern would be call number 2. As the PC they have finish top 10 in era in the country 3 out of the last 4 years and they on pace this season to make it 4 outta 5
