Not that big of a deal.

It’s really not the *huge* deal people are making it out to be. All of it was certainly done with his permission. The coach(es) asked him in between each inning if he was good to go. Obviously, the pitcher said yes. He and his friends get to play another day and have a shot at the CWS. He was happy once the game ended in his postgame interview - and said he was glad he did it.
