Joe Mantiply was on the Diamondbacks roster this year and in fact was their
representative in the All Star Game. (He was kind of the token, every team must be represented and he was having a good year in their bullpen).
And Kerry Carpenter -- who was only a Hokie for one season -- came up with the Tigers and did quite well for 100 at bats or so in Aug/Sept.
