It’s actually them UNDERACHIEVING if they don’t get 6 to the CWS. There needs to be some conference consideration in that 6-8 seed range so as not to stack ALL host spots with the top conference. Of course they’re going to have more top 25 wins etc etc because they have more opportunities It’s like in Softball…yes you can say VT shouldn’t have lost to Pitt or IF they beat Clemson they’d host…WELL by YOUR metrics (committee), VT was well ahead of Oregon, Bama and even TTech. But then all of a sudden it was “number of top 25 WINS” for Bama but they didn’t consider the win % being so low for them…yet they cited win % as an advantage for Oregon. I’m just saying the committee is a bunch of politicians who will spin their narrative when answering a question about a specific team but it often contradicts how things are done elsewhere in the bracket and they’re just hoping they aren’t asked about those discrepancies. They’ve seeded the tournaments both softball and baseball setting up the SEC to have as many teams in OKC & Omaha respectively. Note the only SEC team not playing another SEC team in softball yesterday did lose. Also in Supers all of the SEC hosts vs non-Sec teams were taken to 3 full games and they ended up winning 2 of 3 (Tennessee over Neb, Texas over Clemson) but all those wins for Tennessee & Texas were 1 run home wins.
