Yeah, unfortunately we aren't doing much of anything well at this point...
I just posted some situational pitching stats. I really think we need to tweak some roles on the staff to optimize our pitching performance right now. Crowl, Robertson and Roe have all struggled with runners on base but are more respectable without runners on base. I think we should limit having them come into games with runners on base and leverage guys like Yagesh, Eisenreich and Craytor as our "get out of jams" guys for now. I also think Robertson would be better served to be our weekday starter for the time being to build his confidence back up and allow him more opportunities to pitch without runners on base.
And I know we probably don't have the luxury right now but I think Griffin Stieg would be better served as a one-time through the order reliever as he builds himself back up from injury but not sure we have someone that can take over as a weekend starter. Grim seems like he could easily move to being our Saturday starter if needed but if we needed a Sunday starter besides Stieg, not sure if Eisenreich could step up into that role. He has looked improved this year but not sure how he would respond with getting inserted back into a weekend starter role after struggling last year in that capacity.
