I am not sure why there are no broadcasts for first few weeks. Thoughts:

There are three ACC Network games this weekend for VT, linear shows that take a lot of crew: - Friday: Wrestling vs. North Carolina - Saturday: Men's basketball vs. Florida State - Sunday: Wrestling vs. Oklahoma State There's also a digital stream on ACC Network Extra for Saturday's lacrosse game vs. Louisville in the Beamer Barn. Still, I'd think Virginia Tech would have enough crew or enough equipment to run a pass thru where it's a one-camera show with a scorebug and the audio is pulled from the radio. Maybe I'm wrong. It's disappointing, though, because it's the opening weekend of the season. The interesting part is that the Hokies have a home game on Tuesday vs. ETSU. The only other home event on Tuesday is lacrosse, and Virginia Tech isn't televising that, so it seems like that would be an available option. On top of that, Tech is home vs. Rutgers next weekend. There's also wrestling vs. Duke on Friday (which doesn't have a TV designation on the schedule page, but likely just isn't inserted), plus men's basketball vs. Wake Forest on Saturday (ACC Network, linear show) and women's basketball vs. Georgia Tech on Sunday (ACC Network Extra, digital show). That's a lot going on, but like this weekend, you'd think there might be a chance for a one-camera pass thru. Ironically, the Hokies' first game on TV will be Tuesday, Feb. 24, at James Madison. That's on ESPN+. And even the Texas tournament is on FloSports. The first home baseball game on TV this year is March 3 vs. Marshall. That's a Tuesday game at 3 p.m. Interestingly, VT is also televising lacrosse at Thompson Field at noon that day and also has an ESPNU broadcast for men's basketball vs. Boston College that night at 9 p.m. It's clearly making that work. So, it seems like it might be possible to squeeze a broadcast in there. Makes you wonder, at least a little bit, why there isn't at least one stream over the first seven home games. Notable: First weekend series at home that VT is televising is March 20-22 vs. Duke.

Are the games at least on the radio or just have to check Live Stats?**

It really is frustrating. For most of the early part of last year...
