Yeah, that is sort of my point

We were highly (over)ranked because we hadn't played anybody. I knew when we struggled to beat Pitt that we were not a very good team. I knew it because I wasn't looking through orange and maroon glasses. I was looking at what I saw playing on the field. And, sure enough, as soon as we started playing teams that were decent, we had problems. But, still, some explained the WF sweep by rationalizing that WF was a great team and would be in the CWS. I didn't see that either. And, it isn't going to happen. Great coaches win the close games, they win the winnable games. A high % of them. Sure, they get pounded every now and then, that happens. But, look at Tony Bennett. 23 wins with that team? They won the close games. Most of their losses were by a LOT of points. I keep hoping we will be good in baseball but when I look at all of the teams in the tournament this year that are not renowned baseball schools it gives me a hollow feeling inside.

Wake has the talent to be in CWS; many of their players were in the final
