FWIW Birmingham-Southern College announced earlier this year that it is
closing at the end of the school year. The reason I mention this is because today their baseball team qualified for the NCAA DIII College World Series. I believe the program has a history of success even when the school competed briefly at the DI level. It might be worth it to see if any player, who has not found a new home yet, would be interested in transferring to VT (assuming the coaches think the player is capable to compete at the DI level).
