And when there isnt good pitching, baseball becomes a very sloppy game. HS baseball has become an afterthought in large swaths of school districts across the nation. And the reality is there aren't any good solutions beyond drastically cutting the number of games and/or innings. Or filling up rosters with Latin American kids from poorer backgrounds who are much better served going the minor league route.
