Using MLB bunting/sac for Mantle, ignores MLB is Entertainment not Baseball

A Lot of fans paid big bucks to go see Mantle hit HRs, when he played you had more attendance at ballfields and they wanted to see HRs, not bunts, sacs, walks, singles, doubles or triples. MLB is mostly for Entertainment value, look at some of the best MLB teams have great records but have difficulty in consistently drawing large crowds and TV audiences.

Ted Williams said it best "Pick a good pitch to hit."

I read his book, and Charley Lau's thoughts on hitting, very difficult to do and most fail over 70% of the time. But you have to have a positive idea of what you are trying to accomplish on each at bat and every swing, and it changes on every pitch, it not just "see the ball hit the ball." All of VT hitters seem to have a HR mentality and swing on all pitch counts, the easiest strike out for a pitcher is to face a batter that can't adapt his approach or swing during his AB. That's why not only did Babe Ruth hold the HR record at the same time he held the record for K outs. It's reminds me what a MLB scout said about the difference in Baseball and MLB Baseball, MLB is all about "Entertainment," HRs are more exciting and fill more stadium seats for 160+ games a seasons than singles do! However, you can't get 3 run homers without some hits and walks to win games.
