Cool night in Tampa last night. Saw not one but two Hokies at the Yankees

spring training game. Also saw a huge VT flag hanging out front of a house in the Hyde Park neighborhood. Makes me proud to see a Hokies' presence in Tampa.

Sorry, I should've been more specific. Are Jalyn Ballein,

Mike Villagrana, and others he originally hired to lead recruiting still on staff?

Given how far into design the project is, I doubt it but there's always a

a chance. I'm sure those renderings have changed multiple times from the original concept to now to align with the project budget and scope of work. Releasing renderings to the public is a very calculated process and strategy based on the actual project budget and design intent. I worked on a stadium in the Midwest that showed a rendering with a "black" roof. The construction documents always showed an unpainted, galvanized metal deck and not "black." Even after the project had been qualified and value engineered as such, the roof ended up being painted "black" because the owner of the team expected that based on the rendering.

I worked as an owners rep in sports stadium design and construction for

almost 10 years. Believe me, renderings exist from day 1 but are dangerous especially when they're released to the public. Hence, the disclaimer in the bottom right corner. The lead principal at Populous for this project was an All-American linebacker at Penn State and played with Bruce Smith on the Bills in the NFL. His daughter actually played lacrosse at VT and married former running back Jahre Cheeseman, too.

I listened to the same podcast

and made me think again: "What if Bud was hired?" Probably the biggest "What-If" question in Virginia Tech football history.
