Yes they did….

He had nothing to do with pushing meeting

Yes Babcock

Was/is not a leader. Everything changes, yet the excuses keep rolling in while others evolve. ** Edited by hokie24210 at 4/1/2026, 2:24:27 PM

Yea good ole coach….

Not what you say it’s how you phrase everything. Clearly quite the ego.

Actually it’s closer

To $100 million counting assistants and other moving parts…

I did after the Fuente firing…

Ran into him at a bar /restaurant in Pittsburgh, he was there for a friend’s mother’s funeral. Very nice guy, understands the business of the game. Easy to see that over time, the business of the game outweighs the passion. He was happy for Fuente to be able to step away with his family, but it’s a business.

It’s just VT message boards

Thankfully this time around there is no old guard making decisions, they could care less if the next coach or AD is attached to the past. They know we have one chance to get this right before conference realignment.

Not true

Whit is on the shakiest of ground, full stadium or not.

Whit will not be deciding new coach

If/when Pry is let go. BOV understands the need for a competitive program. We now have a board where the majority support athletics, and want to move forward. Whit didn’t request the meeting btw

They know….

There is a reason Whit was in front of BOV, and it wasn’t at Whit’s request. He’s been on their radar for some time. The BOV has a lot of members who have a keen interest in athletics. Newer members have been good additions for athletics

Yep totally agree….

Bad advice from JB, and as much as I love Frank Beamer for what he did to make us relevant, they all were asleep at the wheel the last 6-8 years. Lot of old school thinking throughout the AD. I hope I’m wrong, but not sure we can ever get back to a level of significance we all want.

My biggest gripe from game…

We never really had any change of pace getting to the line of scrimmage on offense. Montgomery has experience with a run and shoot, and we supposedly have an experienced qb, yet it was continuous hurry to line then “check with me”. We almost never deviated. You always allow D time to set, things break down if you deviate. JMO….
