Talking with a lifelong PSU fan and he was glad to see Pry leave

He couldn't believe it when Tech hired him because most fans wanted a new D coordinator anyway.

Easier to win big ACC games than in the B1G

Would you take Beamer at his heyday at this point? His record vs top 10 was 8-33. I'd take competing for ACC titles most years and I think Franklin could do that.

Word around TA is his dream school is UNC

VT has made it hard for him though. Sounds like VT matched UNC's NIL offer, but I think he's UNC bound. Apparently Utah is one of the finalists as well because they came in with a crazy NIL offer.

I didn't read those articles. I guess I should subscribe.

As much as I want all sports to be good I don't mind that he's going "all in" for football. As much as that stinks for other sports to your point it doesn't seem feasible. The problem I have with it is the way it's communicated. I understand he can't come out and say "we're all in on football". However in Kenny Brooks case most people think he just left because of the money. Not a whole lot of reporting that the school couldn't meet the needs that he had to continue to grow the program.

NIL Football > NIL Basketball

Does VT have to choose one over the other when it comes to NIL and building a program or can we have both? Hearing Brook's family members around the area that I live say he never wanted to leave. And now the men's program losing 8 players. It feels like NIL is being pointed towards football. From what I've heard Kenny didn't want to leave. Whit wouldn't match Kenny's vision and it sounds like it got pretty nasty towards the end. Just look at Hunter Catoor's tweet almost confirming what JRob is saying. Is the same kind of thing happening with the men's side? Is the NIL money being pushed towards football? I'm not saying that's the wrong thing to do, but it might help explain a coach leaving and 8 transfers in 3 or so days.
