“McCready and Sisky” Tyler Sisky is the one that said Neal Brown to VT. It’s possible he saw that tweet but he is also very well connected in the college football world. Coached at Ole miss, Alabama & played at Troy.

Clemson fans get mad when I say this but the SEC doesn’t need them & FSU
The SEC got what they wanted with OU & Texas. I mean ESPN and the SEC have their deal. I don’t see South Carolina and Florida wanting their rival to be in the SEC since they play each other every year any way plus more teams would require less distribution of the TV money. It’s why I think the Big 10 or Big 12 would make more since. The Big 10 wants to out do the SEC. Also the whole UVA to the SEC is things makes no sense to me. Why would they want to add another Vanderbelt.

Stating the obvious here but if we have more success in 24
I think you will see more investment in NIL. This fan base is hungry for another winning run. Obviously the SEC and B10 have advantages but I’d be curious to know what is lacking with Tech NIL right now. I know for example people who are alumni and love VT football but would rather donate to their college instead of NIL (cause you go to school to get a job not football). Maybe winning in 24 makes some of those alums invest a little bit more. Winning in football is the end all be all if we want to be in a P2 conference.

Why would he leave and go learn a totally new playbook and throw to new guys. Nothing is out of the picture in college football these days but I just don’t see that happening this year. Maybe he has a break out season in 2024 and transfers but I see him in Blacksburg this year. The WR room is loaded and he is familiar with Tyler Bowen and the offense. But then again if LSU is to offer a figure that is life changing money I wouldn’t blame him for going.

Feel like he dodged a bullet with last night loss at Tech. Local sports radio today in Clemson is talking about Saban. And Dabo won’t go to Bama. If Dabo is going to leave it’s because the current state of college football with NIL/transfer portal. Dabo has some beamer in him, with reluctance to change.

Wow, winning is pretty fun
Drones is our guy but still a work in progress. If he gets time to throw he can be pretty darn good. We have to score TD’s in the red zone to beat Louisville. Love what I saw with the defense. Thought we could tackle a bit better but they were swarming the football like old Bud defenses. Beat Louisville

Pry says all the right things. But the results are lacking on the field.
Just hope this doesn’t turn into a Geoff Collins situation like Ga Tech, where the head coach is amazing at promoting the program/recruiting but can’t get that W after 4 quarters.

With injuries etc.. super disappointed. We have regressed.

Pretty simple evaluation from last night
1. Wells when hot can be really good
2. We can’t run the football, ODU loaded the box but no push
3. WR talent is miles better from last year
4. Defense giving up chunk running yards is concerning
5. Also is Wells not allowed to keep the ball on a read option?!!?!
6. Very pleased with the lack of penalties and unforced errors
