They had a nice little video this morning on my daily Virginia Tech email about his 25 years at Microsoft and how he invented something called the surface table as an intern, that a few (many) iterations later, by him, became the Microsoft Surface. we are spending a week this summer down at Kiawah. I don’t really golf. I’ve been a handful of times over the years. However, my son who is 12 is really getting into golf, which is a good thing and he really wants to golf while we are down at Kiawah. if we went to one of the lesser profile courses, would they let just him and I go out or will they force a foursome onto us? Also, will we look totally out of place and lost or does everyone sort of suck and it’s no big deal?

So Calhoun steps down, current chair of board steps down, Stephen Mollenkopf named new Chairman in charge of finding in CEO. Mollenkopf was CEO of Qualcomm and a VT grad himself.

The last name sounded vaguely familiar as Desmond Howard was showing his highlights. Sure enough, he was a 3 star DB recruit from Mass that originally verbaled to us before deciding to open up. We were onto him early but it didn’t hold.

4th lowest rate in nation. Only 3 schools more difficult to get into - one of which is Stanford. Can anyone lend context to how we got to this result? What are the dynamics that are making this the way it is? Pretty incredible...
