This would provide them an opportunity to be up and down the entire east coast... Stay contiguous... Keep the Big 10 out of the South... And add major TV markets that they are not currently in. It would also provide ESPN protection on their investment in the ACC against the Big ten raid. I don't think it's that far fetched.

This is probably a dream but in my opinion a merger of the SEC and the ACC would cement both leagues as the most powerful conference in the country and negate anything the Big Ten tries to do. ** Edited by VTCRZY at 8/9/2023, 9:59:22 PM

The ACC negotiated a deal with CBS... Is it possible to break the contract with ESPN... CBS losing the SEC is going to leave them without college football

I don't know much about all of this realignment but it would seem to make sense for the BIG to pick up VT, UVA, UNC and Pitt. Leaving the SEC to pick off Clemson, Miami, FSU and NC State or Georgia Tech. If my math is correct that would take each league to 20 teams... Does it stop there or do they go to 24 total? I just hope we have a seat when the music stops...
