If you heard that we would have 2 quad 1 winsβ¦.
and only 1 non-quad 1 loss (although it is currently a quad 3 loss) while being 16-7 at this point what would you think? Does demonstrate that we mostly loss to good teams.

As much as I mostly hate NIL and the transfer portal
There hasn't been a time in many decades that this many schools will be able to compete for playoffs/NC. It will all come down to $ and several private and public schools have very wealthy boosters. We are already seeing it with Vanderbilt, Texas Tech (oil baby), SMU (more oil baby), others. Stanford boosters appear to be ready to spend. Many blue chip schools were always willing to spend even when it wasn't legal. But some of these schools have booster money ready (or will be ready) to deploy. While I still don't like the premise of "buying your way to the top". It would be hilarious if 5 years from now, Alabama can't compete with some billionaire in Silicon valley that decides to go all in bringing his Stanford Cardinals a natty. I don't believe the blue chippers will go away, but the college football and basketball landscape could look very different. Unfortunately, I am afraid Tech will most likely be outgunned in a different game.

Iβm starting to believe part of the deal with Drones was you canβt pull him
Unless hurt. Why else wouldnβt a sane person try singing different.

It was bliss. Had 2 years on quarters and 2 years semesters
Finals were easier with roughly 2/3rd material.

So, will we lose any players?
With the transfer portal now available to them since Pry was fired and ability to use redshirt with less than 4 games played, curious if any will bolt.

So, 23 schools have won in the last 50 years (21 consensus) and....
14 in the last 25 (13 consensus). I believe it will most likely be 8 to 10 over the next 25 years. The last period for most schools to have a chance (including Tech) was in the 90's and early 2000's with the reduction in scholarships from 95 to 85. Everything since NIL and the transfer portal has reduced equal opportunity and ensured that only the "top-tier" schools and conferences can compete.

It was $808M for $53M per school
Less of an increment than I would have thought. Of course, those have increased, but the ACC wasnβt that far off less than 2 years ago from the SEC.

If anyone is taking this game too seriously, get a life
The coaching and players are fine. They are keeping this closer than it deserves. There are definitely bright spots.

Every bubble has itβs day
The SEC and BigX will squeeze it until it bursts and no one cares about college football or basketball. The whole thing is stupid. To think there are only 20-30 college sports teams that matter when there are professional leagues called the NFL and NBA is silly. But they donβt know any better until it is over. The only thing that makes college sports great is allegiance and region. But they want to think it is bigger than that. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

The Supreme Court or really the Constitution
Plus, the NCAA has lost so many court battles it has essentially given up.

The challenge is we arenβt alone. Seeing it at even powerhouse programs
At least we are selling out and a bunch of programs would die for that.

I really can't blame these "kids", but man....I hate NIL!
Quite simply, what would I have done if I were in school and was a very good athlete? Same as Pedula. I am sure there is some NIL $ going to Pedula. However, why wouldn't you dip your toes into the portal, see what your worth, see if "Tech" is able to provide a better NIL package. Pedula is never going to make the NBA, but he is a damn good PG. I believe it has nothing to do with how he feels about Tech or Mike Young. He has a small window to gain some pretty decent $ before he joins the real world outside of basketball.

Makes sense and I noticed that.
Unfortunately, that opens up opportunities for other teams that have even better WRs. Our front 4 and LBs arenβt up to the taskβ¦..at least yet.

It seemed like we were in a 4-2-5 defense quite a bit
Or the 3rd linebacker was playing way back quite a bit. Did we really think we needed that much pass-defense support over pressure and clogging the run game? Outside containment didn't seem an issue, but man the holes it opened up in the middle.

So, this AAU thing hurting our Big10 chances...
How has that not been solved? Is it that hard to get an invite to become a member? It seems we are roughly a top-50 research university and there are 69 US-based universities in the AAU (many not in the top 50). Shouldn't we have received and accepted an invite at some point over the last 10 or 20 years!?!?

Somewhat agree, but amazingly we had more points in the paint.
The put backs missing and the horrible 3 point shooting without being well defended at the 3 at times really hurt us.
